Mobility Controllers

Aruba Multi-Service Mobility Controllers

Aruba’s family of Multi-Service Mobility Controllers are designed to address a wide range of wireless and wired network mobility, security, and remote access requirements for enterprises of any size. These high performance computing platforms feature programmable network processors and encryption engines that are optimized for very high throughput, including massively scaled 802.11n data, voice, and video networks.

Centralized management allows even the largest enterprise, with hundreds of controllers, to be managed and maintained with minimal staff overhead.

Running the Aruba OS operating system, the controllers support a library of software applications - including policy-enforcement firewall, VPN termination, and wireless intrusion detection - for which competing suppliers require dedicated appliances. Controllers can secure wired networks using the same identity-based, high security scheme used for the wireless LAN, delivering a seamless user experience regardless of the medium used.

The controllers are compactly packaged, offer a range of redundancy options, and feature very low energy consumption to reduce ongoing operating expenses and HVAC loading.

Key features include:

  • Adaptive 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN support
  • Centralized security, control and management
  • Identity-based security gateway with role-based access control policies
  • Easily deployed as an overlay without disrupting the wired network
  • Quarantines unsafe traffic
  • Guest access
  • Built-in captive portal
  • Seamless integration with existing corporate VPNs
  • Mobile VOIP capabilities

The Aruba line of mobility controllers includes multiple models, sized and priced to support the varying requirements of different sizes of mobile enterprise networks from large campuses to small branch offices.
